I he to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?”“Sorry, but I don’t he a house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the boy cut all the branches off the tree and left hily. The tree was glad to see him hy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad. One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said. “I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?”“Use my trunk to build your boat. You can sail far away and be hy.” So the boy cut the tree trunk to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time. The tree was hy, but it was not true. Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years. “Sorry, my boy. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad... When we grown up, we left them, and only came to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you hy. You may think that the boy is cruel to the tree but that’s how all of us are treating our parents. Take time out during the day for quiet time to listen to your inner voice. You may want to use your quiet time to meditate or pray. However you use this time, the key is to shut out all of the noise around you by focusing deep within yourself. Breathing deeply during quiet time will also help you focus. I know it’s hard to find quiet time during a particularly busy day, but it’s so important — even if it’s just 10 minutes a day and you he to sneak away to get it. Quiet time can really make a difference in your life. It enables you to hear God speaking to your heart reminding you of His perfect love for you. Be honest with yourself by paying attention to your actions. Actions speak louder than words, and they always tell the truth. What do your actions say about you? If you say you love your job, but your actions say otherwise, which do you think is more true — your words or your actions? On the other hand, if you say you’re not good at a certain job, but your actions say otherwise, that’s also important. What do you do with this insight? You can use it to make more beneficial choices in your life. By being honest with yourself based on your previous actions, your actions moving forward will be based on truth instead of just what you tell yourself. Despite what your subconscious may be telling you, you can he love with no limits. The key is to unconditionally love yourself first.

God's Coffee

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to visit their old university professor. Conversation

soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen

and returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups - porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking,

some expensive, some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

When all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up,

leing behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your

problems and stress.

Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the coffee. In

most cases it is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you

consciously went for the best cups... And then you began eyeing

each other's cups. Now consider this: Life is the coffee; the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we he does not define,

nor change the quality of Life we live.

Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the coffee God has provided us."

God brews the coffee, not the cups.......... Enjoy your coffee!

"The hiest people don't he the best of everything. They just

make the best of everything."

Live simply.

Lee the rest to God.

《Julius Caesar》Shakespeare

There is a tide in the affairs of men

Which , taken at the flood , leads on to fortune ;

Omitted , all the voyage of their life

Is bound in shallows and in miseries .

把握涨潮,则万事无阻;

The Cherry Tree

When Gee was about six years old, he was made the wealthy master of a hatchet of which, like most little boys, he was extremely fond. He went about chopping everything that came his way.

One day, as he wandered about the garden amusing himself by hacking his mother's pea sticks, he found a beautiful, young English cherry tree, of which his father was most proud. He tried the edge of his hatchet on the trunk of the tree and barked it so that it died.

Some time after this, his father discovered what had hened to his forite tree. He came into the house in great anger, and demanded to know who the mischievous person was who had cut away the bark. Nobody could tell him anything about it.

Just then Gee, with his little hatchet, came into the room.

"Gee,'' said his father, "do you know who has killed my beautiful little cherry tree yonder in the garden? I would not he taken five guineas for it!''

This was a hard question to answer, and for a moment Gee was staggered by it, but quickly recovering himself he cried:

"I cannot tell a lie, father, you know I cannot tell a lie! I did cut it with my little hatchet.''

The anger died out of his father's face, and taking the boy tenderly in his arms, he said:

"My son, that you should not be afraid to tell the truth is more to me than a thousand trees! Yes - though they were blossomed with silver and had lees of the purest gold!''
